This drawing series is as much an exploration of process as a finished output.
Samples were collected, cleaned and pressed for three months until fully dry. Once removed from the press, each is hand painted with liquid mirror, working with the fragile leaf material until a full covering is achieved. Each mirrored sample is then arranged and scanned before being printed on a metallic photo rag to achieve a glistening appearance.
